The Story of Electronics takes on the electronics industry’s “design for the dump” mentality and champions product take back to spur companies to make less toxic, more easily recyclable and longer lasting products.



E-waste Summer School 2011

The StEP (Solving the E-waste Problem) Initiative organizes together with NVMP in the Netherlands an one-week summer school on e-waste in September in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The program looks at e-waste from many different perspectives and includes visits to SIMS recycling and the Umicore's precious metals refinery. It would provide an excellent opportunity to meet others in the field, both in research and industry and the summer school is programmed back-to-back with the the World Resource Forum 2011 in Davos, Switzerland.
